When I spent 3 weeks in an Immune Clinic in So. Cal, this drink was highly recommended as a daily regimen. A doctor who treats cancer patients with Juices made this one a priority on his list. I found it delicious, even though it takes a bit of work, and investment in a proper Juicer that doesn't used heat (which kills the enzymes).
I bought a masticating juicer from Amazon, and I love it. Works for greens and fruits, as well as veggies.
The benefits of Avo-Carrot juice is that it contains Abscisic (a plant hormone) which helps build the body's immune system.
Avocado contains the highest amount of the carotenoid lutein( for vision), and related carotenoids, including zeaxanthin, alpha carotene, beta-carotene, as well as Vit.E ... which is necessary for prostate health and brain function. This juice combo has shown to inhibit the growth of oral cancer cells.
This juice supports weight loss (48 calories per oz) of monounsaturated fat which burns more rapidly than saturated fat.
- 1/2 an Avocado
- 8 oz. of freshly squeezed organic Carrot juice (about 6 medium carrots)
Place avocado in non-metal bowl (I use a marble mortar) and mash very well with wooden or marble pestle. Add the carrot juice and mix with a non-metallic spoon or a straw.
Mix well, and let sit for 30 minutes. Sip through a straw only. Alternate your juices every 3 days or so to get the full spectrum of fruit and veggies.
